Orchids
Orchidaceae, usually referred to as the Orchid family. It is currently believed to be the largest family of flowering plants, with between 21,950 and 26,049 currently accepted species, found in 880 genera. The number of orchid species equals more than twice the number of bird species, and about four times the number of mammal species. Orchids have a magical beauty and allure, with incredible colors, shapes, and scents. No flowering plant has captured the attention of humans, or stirred their passions, in quite the way that orchids have. In past ages, orchids — in all their 20,000 or so wild varieties — have been hunted and collected in almost every part of the world. Today, millions of people remain devoted to the plant and its exotically beautiful "faces.
Bonsais
Bonsais a Japanese art form using miniature trees grown in containers. Similar practices exist in other cultures,
including the Chinese tradition of penjing and the miniature living landscapes of Vietnamese. The Japanese tradition dates back over a thousand years, and has evolved its own unique aesthetics and terminology.
The purposes of bonsai are primarily contemplation (for the viewer) and the pleasant exercise of effort and ingenuity (for the grower).[3] By contrast with other plant cultivation practices, bonsai is not intended for production of food, for medicine, or for creating yard-size or park-size gardens or landscapes. Instead, bonsai practice focuses on long-term cultivation and shaping of one or more small trees in a single container.
